Where can I find custom body shops that do customize paint jobs for cars in new jersey??
I live in the Essex county in NJ and I was wondering if anyone knew where I can find a custom body shop to get a new paint job for my car. I want to change the body color completely, but i am having a lot of trouble trying to find a place.

How do you open up a car or motorcycle paint shop?
I'm 20 and I have no clue how to start?

It's an orange 1973 Volkswagen Thing. What's are the prices for a decent mechanic to remove some rust from the underbelly of the car and to re paint it orange..? Any recommendations.

I brought my car to a shop to be painted, but there are still nicks on it. What do I do?
I dropped off my car at a body shop to get the car repainted and showed the Owner all the dings on my car including an area on the back bumper where a chain scratched my car when it was previously towed . So I paid to have my car painted and it was supposed to be sanded beforehand.My car was supposed to be done on Wednesday or Thursday and the shop never called me. I called today and the Owner said it was done. I showed up at the shop and find my car, which wasn't even washed and still had white crap and dust on it. I looked at the back bumper and the chain mark was still there except it had been painted over. And the same nicks on my front bumper were there. My father was with me and we asked why they didn't sand the car. The Owner said they did sand the car, but that it was only " sanded for adhesion." If he was to remove all of the dings and nicks then it would have cost $150 per panel. Now he said he'll fix the back bumper for free, but I have to wait until 3 or 4 today. This guy is full of it " Sand for Adhesion?" What the crap is that? The dings on my front bumper were minimal.... really just chipped paint.What would you do if you were me? FYI, the " nicks" in my front bumper are just were paint has been chipped by little rocks hitting my car as I drove down the highway. They are VERY small less then 1 4 inch in diameter. Shouldn't a normal sanding job take them out? Do body shops normally just paint over the original coat 'cause that is what it looks like...

Are colored rims custom made or you can just take your rims to a car customizing shop to get it painted?

Where is an EXCELLENT vehicle paint shop in PA? SPORTS CAR?
I have a 94 Z28 and although I really don't want to take it to macco it seems that I'm going to forced into that position. A dealer that I trust is asking over $ 5,000, but they do literally EVERY last detail to the car. Is there any place you know of that does the job PROPERLY and nothing short of outstanding work?

My car's paint is weak, shop won't believe me. What do I do?
Hi. I have a car that had a paint that changes color and becomes of this you can notice dirt and scratches very easily. My car was factory made this way. Anyways, I have noticed that my whole car is scratched up and it is noticable. I took it to two body shops and both say that the paint seems to be weak and that these scratches we not made by a person. Rather by water and weather and it should be that prone to scratches. However, then I took it to the auto dealer I bought my car from & had them inspect it. They said it was normal wear and tear and there is nothing they can do to it except buff it out, but it would cost over $1000.00 to buff the whole car. I am the only owner and only have had it for 5 months. I wouldnt be so picky if it was a few years but its brand new and only has 3000 miles & has a bumper to bumper warranty but they said that doesn't cover the warranty. What should I do?? How can I explain to them that I need this fixed and that its not my fault? Thanks It souldnt be that prone... SORRY I'm tired and typing skills are good when I am.

Touching up paint on a car...from the body shop...?
I have a 96 Civic which is silver. There are many many dings and scrapes, some to the metal, some not, and I was wondering if I take it to the body shop, how much would it cost to touch up these dings, I mean...ballpark price?There is also a scrape from someone who backed into the right side of the front bumper....how much would that cost? Its about the size of a footballAny suggestions would be great...
